PERFORATED INFILL PANELS FOR UPPINGHAM SCIENCE BLOCK

This is a bespoke project for Bowmer & Kirkland on behalf of Uppingham School.

From the original concept to the completed design there were many changes including more Bends being added to each panel to ensure they were strong enough.

The pattern also changed many times and as a result, as you look around the building, you will see something different from every angle.

This is created by cutting patterns into the steel panel using different shapes (round, square, triangular etc.) and patterns of the slots and cutting the perforations at non-standard angles.

Perforated steel infill panels surround the atrium.

The infill pattern is continued around the balconies and stairs.
